Each course does not need to be taken in succession so start with the course that best fits your experience level.
Control & UCI Fundamentals
Control Logic
No-code course that covers basic Q-SYS control logic components and is best for beginners.
Prerequisite: Q-SYS Level Zero
Length: Up to 5-6 hrs

Control & UCI Intermediate
Block Controller
Low-code course that focuses on using the Block Controller, which uses puzzle-piece like blocks to represent coding concepts, in order to achieve more sophisticated functionality.
Prerequisite: Q-SYS Control 101
Length: Up to 8-12 hrs

Control & UCI Advanced
Lua Scripting
Full-code course dives deep into Lua scripting to showcase the full breadth of coding scalability in Q-SYS.
Prerequisite: Q-SYS Control 101
Length: Up to 14-16 hrs

How does it work?
We have options that fit your preferred learning style and schedule. In either option, you will interface live with a highly trained Q-SYS professional, and compare notes and tactics with your peers.
Hybrid Learning Option
Part 1: On-Demand Learning
Contains the majority of the course material, to be taken at your own pace.
Part 2: Live Learning
Conducted either remotely or at a Q-SYS Experience Center, this short, one-time live class helps you validate your learning with a Q-SYS instructor who answers questions, troubleshoots your work, and completes the remaining class exercises.
Classroom Only Option
Full Course:
Delivered live and in-person at one of our global Q-SYS Experience Centers by a trained Q-SYS instructor.
NOTE: Each region has different criteria for access to their “Classroom Only” option. Please check with your Q-SYS representative for more details.
FINAL STEP
UCI & Control Completion Exam (Coming Soon)
After successfully completing both the Intermediate and Advanced course, you are eligible for the UCI & Control completion exam. Upon successful completion, you will be awarded the highest accreditation for control programming offered by Q-SYS.
